Here we have a fine example of the iconic e46 M3. I personally know the previous owner of the car and therefore have a good understanding of its history. If it was a coupe, it would definitely be staying in my showroom and not going up for sale! After spending a lot of money on the car, the previous owner just wanted to move onto something else (he restores lots of old motorbikes). Here are the bits that are unique to this one:
101,000 mileage
Good service history with 8 stamps in total. 6 BMW stamps (2k, 12k, 25k, 36k, 47k, 73k) and 2 independent garages (91k and 100k).
£4000 bottom end rebuild (crankshaft and bearings) in May 2023
Clutch and flywheel replaced in March 2019
New brake hoses and lines in November 2023
The wheels were refurbished in 2020 and are still in perfect condition.
Inspection/health check carried out by EverythingM3 in September 2022. Here they diagnosed the big end/bearing issues and subsequently fixed. They also checked vanos and subframe which were all good. The car has done minimal miles since as you can see from MOT history.
Mechanically excellent.
I believe it has had a new roof at some point as it is in excellent condition and not characteristic of the age. The electric folding roof all works with no issues.
The interior is also very good and clean. Some scuffs/marks on the driver chair as you would expect but other than that, very good.
The bodywork is fantastic bar a couple of blemishes on the front bumper. There is a small scuff which has been painted and another small crack on the lower lip. Both very easily tidied up.
No signs of rust or corrosion. The wings are in perfect order.
MOT until October 2024. Pretty good MOT history.
Owners pack, V5 and lots of receipts present. Only 1 key I believe.
HPI clear.
We have now taken the aftermarket head unit out and replaced it with the original. The aftermarket one will go in with the sale.
